Yeah, it possibly is a bit long. It kind of feels fitting to me, but I'm not sure I could explain why.

Yep, known issue. Not something I'm particularly bothered about fixing, unmatched boundaries aren't exactly useful in flick-book screen games.
I never find undo/redo particularly useful in edit-single-tile editors. It's possibly I'm strange in that respect.
